Sourcing standards

Technical claims are cited to primary sources: California Energy Commission Title 24 Part 6 documents, the California Building Code and Residential Code, city building division publications, NFRC certification procedures, FGIA/AAMA standards, and published manufacturer specifications and warranty documents. Each page lists its sources with publisher, jurisdiction, and date.

Review process

Articles are drafted by our research desk and reviewed against the cited sources before publication. Each page displays its author, reviewer, and last reviewed date. Code cycles change; we re-check code-dependent pages when a new cycle takes effect.

Independence

No manufacturer pays for inclusion, placement, or favorable treatment. We do not publish paid reviews, sponsored rankings, fabricated testimonials, or artificial urgency. Manufacturer profiles describe published specifications and warranty language, not promotional claims.

Corrections

If you find an inaccuracy, tell us through the contact page with the source you believe is correct. Substantive corrections are made to the page and reflected in its last reviewed date.
